The Child and Family Services Applications are comprised of two applications: Child and Family Services Information System (CFSIS) and the Intake Module (IM). This course covers key functions and utilities you will need to use when operating the Child and Family Services Applications. This course includes 3 modules and an important PDF resource. All new users must complete the self-guided online CFSA Orientation course prior to applying for access to the Applications. The online course is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and will provide instruction on how to complete introductory tasks such as searching for a person, identifying case types, reading information in a case, navigating through the Intake Module, determining whether a case is open or closed, and determining the agency responsible for the case.
Registration for ongoing CFSA training will be accepted once the participant has successfully applied, received access, and logged on to their CFSA account either via soft or hard token, or via the Manitoba Government network. Formal CFSA training must occur within 6 months of being granted access to the applications. The CFSA training calendar is available in the CFSIS forms folder under CFSA training. Once completed, registration forms can be submitted to CFSATraining@gov.mb.ca
